La etiqueta sale del equipo en forma de tubo y se coloca sobre el cable a señalizar, pasando el cable por el cilindro interior. Una vez colocado, se usa una pistola de aire caliente para que ajuste y quede adherido al cable de forma permanente.
Es compatible con las impresoras de etiquetas P-touch que muestran el logotipo HS o HSe en la cubierta del casete de la cinta.
